Trademarking In Thailand:

A trademark is a distinctive sign that identifies the origin of a product or service. It is an intellectual property right and can have great economic value for its owner. In Thailand, trademarks are governed by the Trademark Act B.E. 2534.

There are two types of trademarks in Thailand:

  • The Thai trademark which, by definition, has a geographical scope limited to the Kingdom of Thailand;

  • The international trademark that allows a single application for registration to be filed and to designate within this single application the member countries of the Madrid Union, namely, the countries that are signatories to the Madrid Agreement and/or the Madrid Protocol.

How To Register Your Trademark:

It is important to be assisted when filing a trademark application in order to be advised on the advisability of filing it.

 KAIZ3N LEGAL being specialized in trademark law, offers to assist you in your trademark filing and to determine:

•            The correct wording that will effectively protect you and cover your entire scope;

•            The main countries in which your brand will have to be registered.

The Filing Of A Trademark:

Kaiz3n Legal Group lawyers assist you in filing your Thai trademark with the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP).

Generally speaking, the term of protection of a trademark is 10 years (this is the scenario in Thailand)

Patent Law In Thailand:

Innovation is the pillar of your company's growth. It is the result of heavy financial and human investments in order to maintain a strategic competitive advantage. According to a recent ranking conducted by Clarivate Analytics, Thailand will be the third most innovative country in Asia in 2020/2021, behind China and Japan. A company's ability to maintain its competitive advantage depends largely on its ability to protect and defend its innovations.
